We had an amazing time at dotty. May and Rui were extremely sweet and guided us throughout the whole thing. The tufting machine is so light and very beginner friendly. If you are beginner and looking for a fun activity this place is definitely a must visit.

We came to the studio during soft opening and we had a great time making our own little rug! We picked the medium size which is purrrfect for the technique and usability! It’s a great idea for 2 people too cuz we can alternate the tufting…. Both Rui and May are super friendly and helpful!! They checked in on us from time to time to make sure we are on the right track! The price is super reasonable too so definitely recommend all my friends to come here!

Really enjoyed my first tufting experience ;) The studio has a really cozy vibe and is decorated with lots of creative tufting pieces. Before my appointment, they had already traced my design onto the frame, which saved a lot of time and made it much less intimidating for a first-timer. The instructors were patient and never made me feel rushed. Both of them are incredibly skilled too. After seeing the rugs they made around the studio, I honestly wanted to buy a few😂

What Is Tufting?
Tufting is basically drawing,
But instead of a pencil, you’re using yarn.
You hold a tufting gun, pull the trigger, and boom—soft loops of yarn shoot into the fabric, turning your design into a fluffy rug right in front of you. It’s fun, a little chaotic (in a fun way), and weirdly satisfying.
No skills? Perfect.
Just bring your dotty idea (or none at all) — we’ll help you turn it into something you can touch, use, and love.
And if you're not sure what to make, our founders — both professional illustrators — will help you with your design and colour so it tufts beautifully.

Not at all!
Most of our guests have never tufted before. You can use a “found design”, use our flash sheet, or we'll help to turn your image to a tufting design. Plus that, we will trace your design to the frame before you arrive, and guide you step by step throughout the workshop.

Our tufting workshop typically lasts 3-4 hours for a small frame, 4-5 hours for a medium frame, 6 +hours for a large frame,
It also depends on your design complexity.
Please note we do not have time limits in the workshop, take your time to finish your rug. We will be here with you at all times!

Yes!
You're welcome to bring your own artwork, favorite character, or logo. Please check our design guide to meet the design standard.

Yes!
You're welcome to bring your pet photo to us. Before your workshop, we'll help to simplify your image into a tufting-friendly version and prepare it on your frame.

Because we've designed our workshops to let you spend more time creating—and less time waiting.
We use the lightweight Clawlab tufting gun, which is easier to learn and more intuitive to use. Most beginners feel confident much faster, allowing them to finish their rugs more efficiently.
Even better, we prepare everything before you arrive. Your design is simplified, traced onto the canvas, color-coded, and paired with matching yarns, so you can start tufting right away.
After you're finished, we take care of all the messy finishing work, including gluing, backing, trimming, and shaving your rug. You get to enjoy the fun part—creating your rug—while we handle the rest.
