In addition to working on our own projects, we open a workshop space so everyone can enjoy tufting.
We aim to provide the most professional and comprehensive tufting service in Toronto, from initial design to final rug. We want everyone to be proud and enjoy the tufting art regardless of your experiences.
Meet our boss - MOCHA
Our behind-the-scenes big boss and the ultimate yarn ball hunter. She loves anything soft and fluffy — not realizing she’s actually the fluffiest and cutest one of all.
With her irresistible charm, she has everyone wrapped around her paw. But don’t worry — she’s also a generous boss who allows unlimited petting and cuddle breaks whenever the team needs a little stress relief.
She makes occasional surprise visits to the studio each month… and let’s just say, no one dares to slack off when the boss is around 🐾

Rui & May are the founders of Dotty… but honestly, more like full-time staff working for the big boss (we’re might looking to recruit more “servants” to join us 👀).
Both graduated from legit art school (OCAD U), but took slightly different focus here. Rui is the tufting expert and the one who started this whole thing. She’s all about technique, hands-on work, and making sure everything runs smoothly during workshops — so if you have any tufting questions, she’ s your person.
May, on the other hand, is the designer and problem-solver. She’s constantly thinking about how to make things simpler and more beginner-friendly, and is responsible for making everything look beautiful. Need help with your design or choosing yarn colors? That’s her zone.
The studio vibe? Music always on, no pressure, no stress. You don’t need to worry about doing it “perfectly” — just show up, have fun, and we’ll take care of the rest. 🧶✨
